Dakota and Tay are really well developed characters with interesting stories. I’m fond of age gap romances, so that was a bonus. They had lots of shared chemistry and caring. Their anticipation before seeing each other was sweet, and the sexual tension whenever they were together was very hot. They both have so much going on in their lives, it’s never a dull minute. I wanted to be friends with them! They were so joyful together, whether talking about their lives, spending time with Dakota’s son, or getting busy in the bedroom.The first half was perfect for me; the second was not, but still a good read. I did wish for more bedroom scenes, but I think this is pretty typical for Amy Aislin’s books. There was more talk than action. The conflict was a little annoying, but not terrible, and quite brief. The last 20% or so of the book was lacking in tension and excitement (romantic or otherwise). It just felt like a very long wind down, wrapping up all the loose ends in their lives, and was anticlimactic. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the book and will continue to try more by Amy Aislin. As with other parts of this series, I adored this book. I loved the realness of the characters, the moments of insecurity and humor and misunderstanding. Conflict without causing the reader too much anxiety that things wouldn't work out. I found myself absolutely adoring of Andy and understanding Tay's feelings on a deeper level. Dakota was awesome and he's a great character and just A+ all the way around, honestly.This didn't bother me at all, but if it does bother someone, I thought it might be worth mentioning. It does jump around a little between chapters and occasionally I found myself going 'but I wanted to see that!' - One such scene is a bonus scene on Amy's website, so that's a plus!
